Unity Press Report Bae Simon: Do you congratulate the birth of the Obama Administaration ? When is the Inaugural Ceremony?
Dr. Rhee Hong Beom: Surely I am glad to congratulate New President Obama and his staff. I hope that President Obama and his staff would play a great role to strengthen the American global leadership through change and reform in good philosophy and policies. The Inaugural ceremony is between 12 noon and 2 pm. on January 20th.
Unity Press Bae Simon: I know Vice President and Secretary of State are your friends. Did you give your book, Asian Millenarianism? Rhee: I gave the book to Hilary at her Senator’s Office, the last year, and I sent the book to President Obama through his campaign staff. I hope the book would be helpful to their understanding Korea, Asia, and the international societies.
Unity Press Bae Simon: In Asian Millenarianism, what are introduced of Korea, Japan, and China, and the American and Asian relations?
Dr. Rhee Hong Beom: The study of Millenarianism is to research how to establish an ideal society in this world, including politics, religion, civilization, natural science, and medicine. Many prominent scholars and universities are very concern to this study. Although Asian Millenarianism mostly studied about millenarianism, it introduced the ancient Koreans established Chinese and Japanese countries and civilizations. This argument is a revolutionary scholarly opinion.
For political theory and for revitalization of the American Global leadership in the world for freedom and democracy, I advocate Unicracy or Universal democracy to realize great freedom, not only for realization of political, social, economic freedom, but also of the inner freedom. Therefore, our human being would be able to enjoy perfect freedom from suffering.
Unicracy is the most advanced liberal democracy developed from Abraham Lincoln’s concept, to realize government of the people by the people, for all including nature, air, and the universe. Unicracy will strengthen the American global leadership for freedom, and democracy.
Unity Press Bae Simon: What policy do you think that the U.S. will take to Korea and the East Asia for her national security?
Dr. Rhee Hong Beom: For the U.S. national security, it is beneficial that the U.S. will help to unify S. Korea and N. Korea and to develop a unified and democratic country based on a democratic system like the American model.
Before and during the W.W. II,, the Japanese right wing nationalists advocated their argument, the so-called Seikan Ron (Conquer Korea Argument). The argument was to conquer Korea is to conquer Asia. To conquer Asia is to conquer America and the World.
The unified Korea will play a role to male a balance of power between China and Japan not to allow either a single powerful country rule over Asia to threaten the America security, but enjoy stability and peace in balance of power, international cooperation and harmony.
Unity Press Bae Simon: There are some or many leftists in S. Korea and Korean communities abroad are agitating anti-Americanism, is it beneficial to the Koreans and Korea?
Dr. Rhee Hong Beom: Definitely the answer is No!. In history, emotional nationalism resulted in decline or collapse of a nation. Emotional nationalism is nationalism to isolate a nation and to decline a nation in the international society.
The U.S.A. is a benevolent super power to Korea, Asia, and many other non-Asian countries to help Korean and Asian economy to develop and to be prosperous.
