The reasons for the request for financial support to Korea Unitypress TV 4/21/2005
The reasons for the request for financial support to Korea Unitypress TV

To:
Attn.:

1.        From the early 1980¡¯s, I began to feel that the Korean media companies in the United States were not interested in the important North Korea problems, foreign policy of the United States, etc.  Especially, it is also confirmed that while starting the second term, the administration of President Bush decided the interruption of tyrannical regimes and the expansion of free democracy as the most important diplomatic policy, but our Korean media are not doing the public relation for that policy.  I was disappointed by the uninterested attitudes of the Korean people residing in the United States, though the movement of the expansion of free democracy including the disposition of the nuclear issue of North Korea is consistent with the security of the United States and the ideology of the foundation of the United States.

2.        Currently more than 10 media companies such as newspapers, radios, and televisions exist in the Korean community including Los Angeles area, but most of them are showing Korea oriented news and Korean dramas only.  Thus, many Korean people are eager for American news and vivid news talk shows.  For the last 3 years, I have operated news talk shows through 3 TV broadcasting companies including TV aerial broadcasting (Channel 18) and cable broadcasting (Channel 83).  As a result, I won the incredible responses.  I succeeded in getting more than 5 hundred thousand Korean viewers for the 6 months of the aerial TV broadcasting.

3.        If I have a chance to operate a big broadcasting station, I will interrupt the acts of anti-America activities by the North Korean agents in the United States, and I will persuade other Korean media companies to demonstrate the patriotic mind for the security of the United States and the war against terrors.

4.        Since I have investigated and collect information of and research the status of the terrorist regime of North Korea from 1982, I found that the strong performance of the policy of human rights of North Korea among the diplomatic policies of the United States is consistent with my own view on North Korea and media philosophy.  Therefore, more than 20 years from now on, I will continue to devote myself to the benefits of the United States and my own media life.

5.        I felt something that the Korean Americans including me in the United States have not done full duties while using the security and welfare benefits of the United States freely and watching Korean news and dramas only.  I believed that this was caused by non-existence of the representative media company for this in America.  Now, the Korean Americans and I will reflect ourselves and will perform the duties as the United States citizens.

6.        I believe that the representative media should be strong to effectuate this patriotism and the vivid and frank new talk show is necessary to lead them to the national ideology of the United States based on this strength.  In this sense, if our government of the United States supports Korea Unitypress TV financially, I will do my best efforts.  My life view and media philosophy is to expand the free society and terminate the terrorist regime of North Korea rather than to earn money.  I believe that this dream will come true through the strong American military force, the pursuance of the general value of the mankind, and the spirit of the foundation history of the United States.

The purposes and background of the establishments of Korea Unitypress and Korea Unitypress TV

I was engaged in the media industry in March of 1972 after giving up the preparation of the bar examination in Korea.  Since then, I began to study the history of the division of Korea between South and North and the communistic regime of North Korea.  Around at those times, I interviewed intensively the ambassadors of Japan, Malaysia, People¡¯s Republic of China, Vietnam, etc., who were in Korea.  Through this interview, I collected information of the spots of orphans of racial mixture between American soldiers and Korean women at the time of Korean War from 1950.  In addition, through the interview with the Korean people who suffered from the atomic bomb at the time of loss of Japan in World War II, I checked the past, the present, and the future of Korean Peninsular.  I published 2 books of essays and columns.

When the incumbent President Jung Hee Park was killed in 1979, I was publishing a monthly current affair news magazine, ¡°Kang-seo News¡±, in Korea.  At that time, I wrote an editorial that criticized the media suppression by the military regime.  This caused that I was summoned to the Media Section of Seoul City Hall by the Martial Law Headquarter.  I could be freed on the condition that I wrote a promise and withdrew all of the magazines.  The permit of the monthly magazine was automatically canceled.

Afterwards, I settled at Los Angeles in 1981 with a reluctant marriage.  Then, I wanted to open a media company again, but my family opposed it strongly and ignored my wish.  I could not tolerate it to result in an agreed divorce.  Then, I continued to publish a weekly newspaper for Korean people residing in the United States.  With $700, I published the first edition of the newspaper.  Since this first anti-communism newspaper appeared in Los Angeles, there was a remarkable responses.

I also discovered that the agents of pro-North Korea are many in Los Angeles unexpectedly.  I was shocked at the discoveries that the scholars of pro-North Korea opposed the policies of the United States one by one and promoted the diplomatic strategy of North Korea diligently.  On the contrary, the media for the Republic of Korea kept silent, as they still keep silent now.  They did not know the coming military threats of North Korea.  At that time, I met the Korean people who visited North Korea secretly and checked the regime of North Korea.  As a result, I came to find that (1) North Korea had been settled as a government, (2) the military force of North Korea is more powerful than expected, (3) North Korea was digging the underground tunnels toward South Korea.  I could apprehend sufficiently that the strategies and tactics for communistic unification of North Korea against South Korea were performing toward the goal in the securing the four military guidelines, fast war fast resolution, 3-day war, sudden attack training, etc.

About at that time, in March of 1982, KCIA Jae Bum Park, Cheon Woong Kim in Korean Consulate Office in Los Angeles and information consul Mr. Jung called me and we met together.  They told me, ¡°This is the order from the Headquarter.  Tell us any difficulties.¡±  At that time, I made a serious mistake.  I should have told, ¡°Support me with the money for the newspaper.¡±  But I just responded, ¡°I am all right.  I can handle the newspaper by myself.  Don¡¯t touch it.¡±  As a result, I lost benefits.  The group of conservative anti-communists in Los Angeles did not help me while just taking advantage of me since they did not have money.  I suffered a lot of hardship since I could not publish the newspaper.  I could not keep the family, either.  I reported the news and distributed the newspapers for 7 years while using bus or taxi without a car.

However, I continued to check the information of North Korea in the affiliation with Korean information agencies.  They were impressed by my excellent ability to collect information of North Korea.  The Chief of KCIA and even the President ordered to support me, but the government officials took the supporting fund by Korean government for several times.  I could not receive the fund.  Even in 2002, it was disclosed that the chief of KCIA, Keon Shin embezzled the supporting fund of the President for me.  This was the status of the conscience of those who were in charge of North Korea information.

In July of 1987, the President of Korea approved the governmental support for Korea Unitypress for the second time.  But since in 1989, President Tae Woo Roh announced the policy of the pursuance of reconciliation and cooperation with North Korea, I argued directly with Roh¡¯s administration through the newspaper at that time.

I criticized, ¡°Did you agreed with North Korea in advance?  The unilateral policy of embracing North Korea will fail.  We cannot associate with the North Korean regime.  We will be damaged¡¦.¡±  At that time, two agents of the information agency of Korea, who were dispatched to Los Angeles, asked me to meet together and I met them in a restaurant.  (Consuls Chan Soon Heo and Kee Chang Han, dispatched to Korean Consulate Office.)

They told me, ¡°From now on, our government will pursue the reconciliation and cooperation with North Korea.  Do not criticize North Korea any more and cooperate with North Korea while visiting North Korea directly.  We will take the role of the big brother¡¦¡±  Then, right away, I clearly replied, ¡°I will not visit North Korea.  We cannot talk with them.  Dialogue with them is impossible.  You said that we would take the role of the big brother, but it makes no sense.  It is futile.  Rather, they will attempt to swallow us.  You do not have to provide me with the governmental support.  I cannot cooperate with North Korea.  Otherwise, I can be damaged.¡±  This caused me to be neglected completely by Korean government.

Since the start of the newspaper publication on February 11, 1982, I have been threatened and terrorized so many times by the agents of North Korea and terrorists in Los Angeles.  Some of them came to me and told me, ¡°If you don¡¯t visit North Korea, I will kill you,¡± while pointing handgun to my waist.  And some of them terrorized my car.  Moreover, the high-ranking spies and former UN ambassadors of North Korea came to me and persuaded me to win me into their side.  They offered the deals of woman, house, money, etc.  However, they failed one by one.

Even nowadays, the agents of Communist Party of Japan intruded into the United States and acting here.  I found that about in 1983 (??) or earlier or later, they did disguised marriage with bar entertaining women in order to get US green card, and I published it.  I In addition, I found the route of the drugs of North Korea into Los Angeles and reported it to FBI.  I also informed the North Korean nuclear threats, its military status, etc. to New York Times and other major American daily newspapers and weekly newspapers through faxing.  I analyzed and published the death of Il Sung Kim as a murder.  It was a hit.  I also published that North Korea would not be collapsed as the United States expected.

Afterwards, when Geneva negotiation and so on because of nuclear development and nuclear armament of North Korea since 1994 occurred, I invited more than 200 people of the media people and Korean Americans about 1-2 times per year since 1990.  In those invitations, I gave lectures, ¡°Conference for reporting of North Korean status¡±, ¡°The status of long distance underground tunnels of North Korea to attack South Korea¡±, ¡°The prediction that North Korea will still develop the nuclear weapon secretly in spite of the Geneva agreement¡±, etc., and Korean media published them.  These lectures continued to be reported by televisions and other media of Korea.

Especially, I analyzed that the dialogue of North Korea with the United States would not finish within a short period, and that North Korea would disturb the United States through double negotiation strategy and tactic according to the strategy of Mao Tchetung and Lenin like the South-North Korea dialogue.  Around at that time, with the cooperation of a friend of mine in the United States Marine in San Diego, I published the departure of the marine and appearance of an American aircraft carrier of in the East Sea to attack North Korea as a news flash.  My news flash made the North Korean personnel located in UN to be surprised and lead them to a successful Geneva negotiation in 1994.  I am still proud of my performance for this success.  Also in 1987, I won a great scoop by analyzing and publishing that the movie persons Sang Ok Shin and Eun Hee Choi exiled to the United States in 1987 was a disguised escape but not an asylum.  Besides, I published so many news flashes.  Thus, Korean information agencies disliked me.  They complained that I did not provide the information to them first in advance.  But I could not provide them with the information.  If I provided them with the information, they just reported to the government in Seoul only but nothing was published in the media.  It was just kept in files only.  Thus, I decided that the publication was more important and I published the important information regarding North Korea without providing it to Korean information agencies.  In this way, I have become a permanent rival against them.

On November 11, 2004, once again, the Korean government and the ruling party came to me for mutual cooperation while telling that they liked Korea Unitypress TV.  The fund manager of the ruling party was Mr. Ha Hwa Hwang (phone number in Seoul is 403-1883, 011-254-0065; e-mail: plusok@plusok.co.kr.)

At last on February 12, 2005, the ruling party and the staffs of the Blue House of Korea (in the conference between the ruling party and the government) decided to support one in England and the other, Korea Unitypress TV, in the United States.

By the way, as expected, KCIA is seeming to oppose it.  They are pressing the senior secretary for administrative affairs so as not to be approved by the President.  Since I criticized the wrongful presidential election, etc. in 2002, they have kept grudge against me.  The current administration of Republic of Korea is a left wing government and is similar to a terrorist country.  They are considering to throw away the ally relationship with the United States and planning the scheme of Russia-China-North Korea-South Korea.  However, from the next year, the conservative groups of Korea will demonstrate themselves while creating a great turmoil.

In this political circumstance of Korean Peninsular, through television broadcasting, I will play the role of persuading and leading overseas Korean people to overthrow the regime of Moo Hyun Roh, which is doing anti-America and pro-North Korea activities, and support the great human right policy of the United States.
