This position offers you the opportunity to make a significant impact as you restructure and manage the accounting and finance function at a new acquisition. You will oversee day-to-day operations, of course, but we'll also look to you to add value by providing strategic input to the company's decision makers. The company at present is relatively small but has solid growth potential, and as you contribute to that growth you will be in a position to take advantage of the "upward draft" of opportunity it creates.
Leading a small staff, you will assess the current situation and then develop and implement controls and processes to ensure we have US GAAP standards in place; in some cases this will involve building new processes altogether. To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have at least seven years of finance and accounting experience, including manufacturing environments, and three to five years of experience working with a US company in Korea. We're looking for a professional with strong management and leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability to drive positive and lasting change. In addition to solid knowledge of US GAAP, you'll need bilingual English and Korean skills.
Celgard is a recognized global leader in developing, manufacturing, and marketing battery separators that are used in high performance lithium battery markets. Celgard battery separators are polypropylene and/or polyethylene electrolytic membranes that offer excellent product uniformity, strength, chemical stability, and energy performance. While other manufacturing sectors are contracting, we have posted double-digit growth year over year for the past several years. We have aggressive strategic plans to double sales, revenue, and our bottom line over the next five years, backed by strong cash flow and a highly profitable business model.
