3. Applicant Qualifications A. Applicants should satisfy the Private Educational and Training Institutions Law and the Kyungwon University faculty employment regulations. B. Application is limited to doctoral degree holders in the related field of specialty as of May 1, 2008. (With exceptions to native speaker and Korean national applicants with a master's degree, who can apply for openings in the non-tenure track position and the Dept. of Industrial Design respectively.)
4. Required Documents Application Forms : Applicants can register for an opening and access the forms on the university website, which will be available from May 19, 2008, and submit the printed-out forms. A. Completed Application Form (prescribed form, downloadable) - 1 copy B. Personal Essay (prescribed form, downloadable) - 1 copy C. Research Achievements/Publications and the List (prescribed form, downloadable) - 1 copy each D. Highest Degree Dissertation - 1 copy E. Undergraduate and Graduate Transcripts and Diplomas - 1 copy each (Doctoral degree holders from a foreign country are required to submit a copy of the certificate registered at the Korea Research Foundation.) F. Letters of Recommendation from at least two nationally and internationally renowned scholars with one from the academic advisor for applicants' master's or doctoral thesis G. Official Documentation of work experience and employment mentioned in the application form, any certificates or licenses - 1 copy each
5. Application Period Via mail: Monday, May 19, 2008 - Wednesday, May 28, 2008. by 5:00 p.m. In person: Thursday, May 29, 2008 - Monday, June 2, by 5:00 p.m.(closed on Sat. and Sun.)
6. Others A. Applicants for all openings should be able to lecture in English. (Applicants for Korean Language in the Dept. of Korean Language and Literature, Space Direction Design, and Korean Language and Korean culture contents in the International Language Center who have the ability to teach in Chinese and to teach Chinese students are strongly preferred.) B. Native speaker applicants for the non-tenure track positions and applicants for Industrial Design with a doctoral degree are strongly preferred. C. Kyungwon University may not hire anyone for an opening when no one's qualified
7. Research Achievements/Publications A. Recent research achievements within the past 4 years (May 1, 2004. - April 30, 2008) should reach a total of 200 points and more. B. Research achievements to be considered for each field of specialty 1) Dept. of Korean Language and Literature, Dept. of English Language and Literature, Dept. of German Language and Literature, Dept. of International Trade & Commerce, Graduate School of Social Policy (Social Welfare Studies), Kyungwon International Language Center (Korean Language and Korean culture contents): Korean Research Foundation-listed papers or equivalent / SSCI or A&HCI-listed papers, specialized academic publications, doctoral dissertation 2) Bio-medical Majors, Nano Systems Majors: SCI-listed papers and doctoral dissertation (accompanied with impact factor resources for each paper) 3) Industrial Design Majors: exhibitions and performances with portfolios 4) Institute for Scientifically Able Youth (Biology, Mathematics): Korean Research Foundation-listed papers or equivalent, SCI, SCIE-listed papers All other papers including scheduled to be listed ones except the above-mentioned will not be considered. The point value of respective research achievements will be given based on the University regulations.
