Full-time Lecturer Position Opening in Pusan University of Foreign Studies

Pusan University of Foreign Studies (PUFS) is currently seeking to fill several full-time lecturer positions opening in Department of Commercial Relations in EU and International Language Education Center.
One of the sources of PUFS's academic strength can be found in foreign languages and cutting-edge language education with over 56 foreign faculty members representing 19 different nationalities. We are a private university located in Busan, the largest port city in South Korea.
Work Conditions:
1. Position : Full-time Lecturer
2. Number of openings : 2 English Native Speakers
(1 for Dept. of Commercial Relations in EU, 1 for International Language Education Center)
3. Qualifications
-Applicants MUST have at least a Master's Degree, or above.
-At least 1 year of teaching experience at University level.
-M.A. in TESOL, Education, Business Administration, and Economics or related field certificate holders preferred.
-Required to teach mainly the university level courses related to English Conversation or other.
4. Period of Employment : September 1, 2008 - August 31, 2009 (Renewable)
5. Salary : 24,510,000 won per annum (based on weekly teaching hours of 9)
-Extra payment : 20,000 ~ 40,000 won per hour(additional teaching activities requested by the school)
6. Benefits
1) Housing : A partially furnished UNSHARED apartment will be provided
2) Basic Medical Coverage provided through National Health Insurance
3) Transportation : A successful candidate hired directly from overseas (Overseas hiring) will be offered one way airfare between the point of hiring and Busan or a return airfare from China/Japan for the purpose of obtaining a Working Visa(E-1).
7. Severance pay will be provided.

3) A copy of passport

=> Should submit the said documents, otherwise you are considered INELIGIBLE candidate.
*Application and Interview
- Application Deadline: June 20, 2008
- Interview : ONLY those who passed the applications assessment conducted by PUFS hiring committee will be considered for the interview. The detailed interview schedule including interview date and site will be notified to you BY EMAIL. Absence of notification by our university means that you are considered INELIGIBLE.
- Interview followed by the "Teaching Demonstration" is expected to take place in the end of June, 2008
Shortlisted applicants for the interview will be required to submit additional documents (Phase 2) at the time of the interview. The description of the Phase 2 will be informed only to those who meet the criteria for the interview and the following "Teaching Demonstration", or presentation before a panel of hiring committee. Failure to produce the Phase 2 documents will invalidate the application and terminate the hiring procedure.
