Ansan Hwajeong English Village in Ansan, operated by Herald Media, Co., LTD. is searching for fun teachers with or without experience for a one-year contract. Current F2, E2 visa holder is preferred.
ABOUT ANSAN HWAJEONG ENGLISH VILLAGE (AHEV)
Greetings from Beautiful Ansan,
Ansan is located 50km, about 45 to 50 minutes, from downtown Seoul. Unlike Seoul, Ansan retains and promotes a great deal of Korean culture. There are many museums, culture centers, temples, and other attractions that allow foreign visitors to immerse themselves in 'the land of the morning calm.'
Our school lies on the outskirts of the city in a quiet rural community. We are the sister-school of the first English Village in Korea, The Seoul English Village, in Pungnap-dong. In contrast to other English villages, we are not an 'English amusement park.' We offer 66 students weekly an 'English only' environment equipped 14 situation classrooms, along with a real academic learning experience. We have a very supportive staff that is committed to making your stay in Korea the best possible.

GENERAL WORKING CONDITION:
- Name of working place: Ansan Hwajeong English Village
- Job Title: Full-time English Teacher
- Location: Ansan Hwajeong English Village

- Starting Date: ASAP
- Teaching hours: 5 days a week
25 teaching hours per week between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- Salary: 2.1 to 2.5 million won per month, plus a monthly salary equivalent in annual bonus
- Class sizes: usually 12-14 students.
- Student age group: usually 10-14 years old, sometimes adults
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Native English speakers from the USA, Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.
- Must hold a passport to qualify for the necessary visa.
- Must have at least a bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Must be able to provide a criminal check and health check.
- Master's degree, teaching experience preferred
- Teaching certificate (TESL/TEFL/TESOL) preferred
BENEFITS
- Airfare: Airfare reimbursed only for overseas applicants. A return ticket will be provided upon completion of a one-year contract.
- Free accomodation & free shuttle: Fully-furnished single studio apartment, in the building of which other teachers' are located. We provide a shuttle bus from the apartment to Ansan Hwajeong English Village and back.
- Free lunch whilst school is in session.
- E-2 visa sponsorship
- Vacation and holidays: Paid 2-week-vacation and 5-day-sick leave. Unused sick days at the end of a one-year contract can be spent as vacation. Public holidays worked roll into blocks at different times of the year. This approximately equals another 10 paid holidays. If an additional contract made, an unpaid 3-week leave will be provided.
- Severance pay (bonus): One-month salary after completion of a one-year contract
- Half medical insurance paid for.
- Half national pension contributions paid for.
