Stable University Position near Seoul
Korea Polytechnic University ( www.kpu.ac.kr ), Korea's most prestigious university in Industrial Technology, is looking for native speaking professors who are responsible, enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoy teaching and working in cross-cultural environment.
• Location: Shihung City in Kyonggi Province (about one hour from Seoul by subway. • Starting date: August 25, 2008
• Qualification: Native English speaker with bachelor's degree or higher. TESOL master's degree and/or teaching experience preferred.
• Salary: 2,350,000 won - 2,500,000 won, depending on education and experience
• Housing: one bedroom with its own bathroom in a brand new complex building and a very modern shared kitchen on campus. (free Internet, TV and nice showers in the bedroom and full-stove, washer and drier in the kitchen)
• Teaching Level: University Students
• Working Hour: Afternoon and Evening Classes. (Classes usually start at 1:30 p.m. and ends at 8:50 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) (On Tuesday and Friday no classes, but Café Hours which is one-to-one conversation coach)
• 18 - 24 teaching hours per week (minimum teaching requirement is 18 hours per week. Overtime payment (20,000won per hour) to more than 18 hours. Can teach up to 24 hours per week) + about 10 hours of extra duties (such as café hours)
• For the summer and winter intensive programs, the minimum requirement teaching hour per week is 10 with overtime payment. If you want, you can teach up to 25 hours per week. The intensive programs are usually for university students.)
