(1) Positions-opened - Freshmen English: Speaking AND/OR Elective courses of English like English Conversation, International Career Development and Correcting English Pronunciation - Non-tenure track: one year, contract-renewable.
(2) Qualifications - Post-undergraduate degree required, preferred in TESOL, English Language & Literature, Primary and Secondary Education in English or other Education-related fields. M.A. Degree required, Preferred in TESOL. - At least one year of teaching experience (University-level teaching experience preferred).
(3) Duties - Teaching 16 hours per week with overtime pay for additional hours. - Student advising. - Participating in curricular development as needed. - Teaching summer and/or winter sessions may also be required for additional pay (40,000won per hour).
(4) Starting date: Sep 1st, 2008
(5) Documents submitted by May 30th, 2008 - CV with a cover letter including nationality, birth date, a recent photo and the status of the current visa. - A copy of undergraduate diploma(s) and transcript(s). - A copy of post-graduate diploma(s) and transcript(s). - A certificate of employment from the current or previous employer. - Reference letters (optional).
(6) Process - Interview process will require teaching demonstration. (Candidates for interview will be notified via e-mail when the document screening process is completed) - A second interview may be necessary.
(7) Payment - 2,900,000 won per month including 400,000 won for housing. - Overtime pay starts at 28,000 won per hour - Paid vacation: extra 40,000 won per hour when you teach summer and/or winter sessions. - Medical insurance provided.
