A. Jeonju University Summer Camps
Hello, my name is Jaiwon Lee. I'm writing this letter on behalf of Professor Young Woo Park, Director of English Programs for the Center for International Education and Exchange at Jeonju University.
Professor Park would like to invite all of you to apply for our summer English programs. We are offering two types of positions this summer of 2008.
POSITION 1
JJU Summer Intensive English School In these intensive courses for the holidays, elementary and middle school students will focus on developing their English ability in the four skills of language. This program will consist of textbook study in a traditional ESL classroom environment. There will also be a focus on indoor and outdoor activities.
Schedule: July 25th to August 14th, 2008 Location: Jeonju University Work Hours: 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 15 working days
PLUS
Game Development High School English Camp This camp will be for high schools students that attend a special high school focusing on video/computer game development. English language ability will be essential for these students. We hope to provide effective ESL courses combined with fun and memorable activities.
Schedule: August 17th to August 21st, 2008 Location: Game Development High School in Woongju Work Hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 5 working days

Schedule: July 25th to August 21st, 2008 Location: Jeonju University + Game Development High School Work Hours: 6-8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 20 working days Pay: 2.2 Million Won Airfare: up to 400,000 Won reimbursement upon arrival Accommodations: single housing with basic furnishing provided
POSITION 2
JJU English Summer Camp For this overnight English Summer camp, there will be a balance of textbook study, indoor activities and outdoor activities. We hope to provide elementary school students with a wide- range of experiences which will both increase their English language ability and create lasting memories.
Schedule: July 28th to August 14th, 2008 Location: Kimje Polytechnic College + Jeonju University for Opening and Closing (The camp will not be held on the JJU campus this summer due to the scheduled renovation of the dormitory buildings.) Work hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 14 working days (There will be no overnight obligations. If teachers wish to stay at the camp site, a room will be provided with basic furnishing.)

B. General Job Description for All Foreign English Teacher Positions of Jeollabukdo Office of Education
Hello, my name is Jaiwon Lee of the Center for International Education and Exchange at Jeonju University. We have a close relationship with the Jeollabukdo Office of Education. One of the areas in which we collaborate with the JBOE is recruitment. These positions for the JBOE will be available throughout the year for the foreseeable future. 1. Contract Period - 1 year 2. Pay - 2.0 Million – 2.5 Million Won per Month - Depending on experience and qualification (detailed description of pay levels below) 3. Teaching Time - 22 Hours per Week 4. Vacation - 14 Working Days + National Holidays - No classes during exam periods ( 4 times a year, teachers may be required to keep office hours) 5. Schedule during School Vacations in Winter and Summer - Workshops for program development and training - English Camp - English classes for school teachers - Teachers may be given leave or asked to report for office hours during the remaining vacation time, depending on the policy of each respective school. 6. Housing - Housing and basic furnishing, will be provided by the Jeollabukdo Office of Education - In the case of the teacher already having housing a 300,000 monthly stipend will be provided 7. Airfare Reimbursement - Round trip airfare will be reimbursed - Half upon arrival and the remainder upon completion of contract 8. Domestic Transportation - Transportation to and from school will be provided if commute is further than a reasonable walking distance 9. Additional Benefits - One time only 300,000 Won ˇ°Settlement Allowanceˇ± upon arrival (signing bonus) - Severance pay equal to 1 month salary upon completion on 1 year contract - 100,000 Won monthly, ˇ°Provincial Allowanceˇ± - Teachers working in remote areas such as Wanju, Jinan, Muju, Jangsu, Imshil, Sunchang, Gochang, Buan MAY be eligible for an additional 100,000 Won monthly ˇ°Special Rural Allowanceˇ± - Half of the Medical Insurance will be provided for the teachers and any family members living with them in Korea 10. Work locations - Teachers will teach at 2-3 different schools (Elementary, Middle, or High school) within 1 school district unless stated otherwise - Positions are available in cities and counties all around Jeollabukdo Province 11. Detailed Description of Pay Grades - Please note that only one (NOT all) of the prerequisites is required to be qualified for each pay level +1 level (2.6~2.7million KRW) - Two years of teaching experience in Jeollabukdo Office of Education as a 1 level Guest English Teacher. 1 level (2.4~2.5million KRW) - Two years of teaching experience in Licensed Agency as a holder of teacher's certificate. - Two years of teaching experience as a major of Education, English Education, English Literature - Two years of teaching experience in Licensed Agency as a holder of English Education certificate(TESOL,TEFL,CELTA)-over 100 hours. - Two years of teaching experience in Licensed Agency as a holder of Master's Degree. - Two years of continuous renewal in Jeollabukdo Office of Education as a +2 level Guest English Teacher. +2 level (2.2~2.3 million KRW) - A major of Education, English Education, or English Literature as a holder of Master's Degree - Two years of continuous renewal in Jeollabukdo Office of Education as a 2 level Guest English Teacher. 2 level (2.1~2.2 million KRW) - A holder of Teacher's certificate - A major of Education, English Education, English Literature - A holder of English Education Certificate (TESOL,TEFL, CELTA)-over 100 hours. - A holder of Master's Degree. - One year of teaching experience as a holder of Bachelor's Degree in Licensed Agency. 3 level (2.0~2.1 million KRW) - A holder of Bachelor's Degree 12.
