After application submission, candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by telephone. Interviews for September 2008 positions will be held May 24th, 2008. Interviews at other times may be possible by appointment (including Webcam for overseas applicants).

Qualifications:
Applicants must have a minimum of one-year teaching experience in Korea or a Masters degree. Preference will be given to those with English or Linguistics majors.

Job Description:
Applicants will be required to teach University English speaking and listening credit classes a maximum of 24 hours per week. Included in your 24 hour schedule allotment, you may also be required to teach other auxiliary programs (i.e. English Adult Conversation, Global Village, TOEFL Speaking, TOEFL Writing) offered by Yonsei University, Wonju Campus.

Salary:
The salary is 2,200,000 KRW per month. Upon completion of the contract, a severance of approximately one month˘®¯s salary will be paid.

Starting Date:
The starting date for this position will be September 1st, 2008. Please be aware that a mandatory teacher training/orientation session will be held from Thursday, August 28th to Friday, August 29th, 2008.

Housing:
New teachers will be provided with a rent-free, minimally furnished, one- or two-bedroom Faculty Apartment close to campus (10 minute walk).

Vacations:
A total of twelve (12) weeks paid vacation not including national holidays.

Additional Benefits:
Teachers will be reimbursed 50% of a round-trip ticket or 100% of a one-way ticket outside of Asia (in KRW) and up to 500,000 KRW (within S.E. Asia) for one (1) round-trip airfare (i.e. a visa run) at the conclusion of their one-year contract. In addition, you will be eligible to work some summer and winter Yonsei University-sponsored camps (total value of both camps is approximately 3,000,000 KRW for summer; approximately 3,000,000 KRW for winter).

5. Three (3) passport size photos
6. Release letter (from your current employer)
7. Official work record in Korean language (ˇĆ©ˇˇ¤Â Áõ˘¬í1⁄4ˇĆ©)
8. Criminal Background Check (Apostilled/Notarized)
