I am extremely interested in teaching English in Korea. I am a 25-year old female United States citizen and graduated this May with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at University of Illinois in Chicago. I can start August of 2008.
This is exactly the opportunity I am looking for to not only to gain experience in the teaching field, but also to experience a once in a lifetime adventure. I am a dedicated, hard-working, honest, and loyal person who loves to teach kids with enthusiasm and fun.
I've had plenty of general teaching experience, especially with jr. high students. I've taught Bible Study at my church for five years, the students ranging from middle school to high school. I've also led Bible Study to college students for one year at my university. I've volunteered at many winter and summer church retreats as a small group leader. In addition to these experiences, I was a teacher's assistant for three months, assisting students in math and reading.
Below are the working conditions that I prefer:
1. Location: Prefer Seoul or near Seoul but willing to be flexible for the right job
2. Working Conditions: Prefer a Christian company, but also willing to be flexible
3. Students: Jr. High or younger
4. Hours: Flexible
5. Salary: At least 2.0 million won
6. Housing: Single or Christian roommate.
7. Benefits: Includes airfare, housing, etc...
Please also note that:
1. I am a gyopo, but cannot speak Korean fluently
2. I will have sealed transcripts by June 5, 2008.
3. Although on my transcripts it shows my degree, my diploma will arrive in August 2008.
4. I am not certified, however, for USA, in Illinois, I passed the Math Area Content Exam and the Basic Skills Test, which one needs to take to become certified in teaching mathematics in Illinois.
If I meet the qualifications of a suitable teaching position, please contact me through email at suzie.jung@gmail.com
Thanks! I hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,
Suzie M. Jung
