Re: Wanting a summer English teaching job for July and / or August
I am currently teaching English at Jiangxi Science & Technology University in Nanchang, China. I have also taught English at Jiangxi Institute of Education and at Nanchang Institute of Aeronautical Technology. All of these colleges are for college students, although, I have also worked with teenagers at Alcanta College¡¯s summer camp in Guangzhou and at a summer camp in Shenzhen. I originally came to China with the organisation known as Voluntary Service Overseas, which is a British funded organisation to help improve English teaching in China.
I have a 2:1 upper second-class degree in History and Politics, and I have a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (Further Education), which is my teacher-training certificate. I gained both of these qualifications from Huddersfield University, Huddersfield, England. I have also worked in China for seven years, and have learned much about Chinese culture and Chinese people. I am now married to a Chinese teacher and live permanently in Nanchang.
Therefore, I am looking for a summer teaching job in the months of July and August 2008.
