TEFL Certified, Honors BA, Experienced Canadian Male Teacher with Masters Equivalency.
My name is Wil from Ontario, Canada, and I am seeking an ESL or Core-subject teaching position in Korea with the Public School Board, middle or high school students.
at the A-1 salary level.
I have over eight years experience teaching ESL, core subjects including grammar, writing, and social studies, in Asia at provincial government, and International Schools, private institutes, universities, and colleges. (over 3 years at university and colleges, including teaching "ESL teacher training")
In Asia, my students were of various ages from 5 to 70 years with various levels of English and also teaching elementary school teachers (teacher training), city officials, and business people.
Two - B.A. degrees in Social Sciences, including Law and Geography, English Literature, TESL Certificate, and a PC Computer Science LAN Administration diploma. Also, experience teaching and testing students in TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS.
I encourage the use of the Student Centered Learning Approach in language teaching in an interactive, comfortable and friendly class where mostly all the student's' senses are utilized for maximum effectiveness. I can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
I quickly learn new teaching methods and I work well independently as well as with others.
I am skilled at creatively integrating various multimedia formats (video, music, etc.)
into classroom lessons. I prefer to teach using communicative, participation activities that
are strongly-centered around student conversation.
I like to build a friendly student-teacher rapport. Essentially, I believe that anyone
who wants to learn can be taught, by matching the right teaching method to the students'
learning style. I enjoy interacting with my students and I work to engage their passion for learning English. I have a strong work ethic and excellent sense
of humor. I can speak French, beginner level Korean and beginner level Mandarin.
