I am currently seeking a teaching position in Asia. I have four years teaching experience in ESL/EFL with students of varying ages and levels. My B.A. majors are Japanese and Education, and I hold a Master of Education - majoring in Teaching Second Languages (GPA 5.63), and a TEFL Diploma. My teaching philosophy focuses on a communicative sphere, which encourages students to use all four macro-skills in authentic communication. This involves using a set text, where the class objective is to introduce, practice, and produce the vocabulary and grammar structures for a specific lesson. This is followed by a concluding activity to reinforce the objectives of the lesson. I believe this teaching method can be applied to ESL students of all levels and ages, and with varying activities in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, to create interest and motivation, which is essential for all foreign/second language students to learn and acquire their target language.
I am currently living in Thailand, but I will relocate if I find a suitable position in another country.
