COVER LETTER:
I have a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language and am licensed to teach ESL K-12. I am currently teaching elementary kids in Vermont, USA but am looking for a teaching position overseas, at the secondary level. Vermont is a US Refugee Resettlement site and has an exceptionally large and diverse refugee population. Having completed my training here and having taught this refugee population (many of them lacking literacy skills), I feel I am ready to take on any challenge I meet teaching English overseas. I have experience with middle schoolers and will be teaching 6th and 7th grade ESL summer school during the month of July, 2008. I have also been volunteering at the high school with the 9th and 10th grade students.
I am looking for a job that matches my credentials (Masters, teaching license, teaching experience) in South America, Europe, Asia (India, Thailand), or Africa.
