My name is Laurie Merk and my partner's name is Mark Riley. We have been teaching in South Korea for the last two years and are currently employed working for the Korean government English program EPIK. We will finish our contracts at the end of August and will be looking to start anytime after then.

We both hold bachelor degrees and have successfully completed a 100 hour International TEFL Teacher Training certificate. I have 2 years teaching experience and my partner has 5 years experience.

VOLUNTEER WORK
In Jeju I organized and coached the Jeju ultimate frisbee sports team and the Jeju touch rugby team for 2 years. We participated in 2 big international tournaments each year. With over 30 local and ex-pat members, I have organized practices, meeting places, training and sponsorship for tournaments.
I participated in many local community events including the annual Pumpkin Festival, penguin swims, and the Jeju 2007 International Day. I have also volunteered time at English camps run by the local library.
