To prospective employer,
My name is Maurice Presser and I¡¯m in search for a comfortable teaching position. Presently I am working in an EF English First in Changchun, China. Although the work environment is suitable, I find this city boring and am eager to move onto to a more entertaining and provocative atmosphere. My work finishes on Friday June 30th and my boss is willing to smooth the visa transition inlight of these ¡®Olympic¡¯ times. Arriving to EF, I was asked to design and teach a 5 week intensive IELTS course, 30 hours a week, at my discretion. With the success of this course, I have been inspired to pursue the IELTS path and would like a teaching position focused on Ielts or TOEFL training. For the last 3.5 years I have been working in South Korea as a language instructor in order to payoff my student loans and finance my adventures. To my surprise, I really took to teaching English in Asia. I require more professional and academic working environments with no kids in my classroom. I obtained my undergraduate degree at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I graduated with honours in Archaeology (focused on Asian cultures) and a BA in Religious Studies. Eventually I plan to pursue a Masters and PhD in Asian Archaeology, and hope to accumulate vast experiences that I could add to my academic pursuits. Having traveled and been raised in a multilingual society, I speak Spanish fluently and French rather comfortably; besides my English of course. Along the way I have picked up a little Italian, Korean and Hebrew. Archaeology and Religious Studies teaches you some Greek and German, and I have found all these languages to be an essential means of decrypting the English language for students. Accompanied by Oxford, IELTS, TOEFL and TESOL techniques, I try to reveal the nature of the English language not only as a collection of prefix and suffixes; but as a means to express the individual. Being multilingual enables me to simplify epistemology in hopes to remove intimidation and encourage personal growth. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Maurice Presser Mauricepresser@hotmail.com
