Senior Project: Earth to Mars Manned Transfer Vehicle
Designed a Mars Transfer Vehicle (MTV) for future colonization at Mars. The MTV design consisted of habitat module, lander, rover, space suite, crew accommodation, nuclear propulsion, attitude control, telecommunication, orbital mechanics, radiation protection, and future adaptable technologies. The model of the MTV was created using both AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Computer programming was used to compute the theoretical simulation of the project. Created a full size proposal.
Senior Design: Spacecraft Design (AIAA 2007 National Competition 2nd Place)
Designed a fully functional spacecraft. Mainly worked on spacecraft propulsion/attitude control system design with CAD drawing. Structures and mechanisms, power, thermal control, command and data systems, and telecommunication designing were also involved. Gained experience with PDR, CDR, and other design reviews at engineering firms. Also created a full size proposal.
