To Whom It May Concern:

I am interested in a position teaching English to students in South Korea. I am a recent graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor¡¯s Degree in Economics. I have taught English to various students ranging from young children to adults, while I was an exchange student at Yonsei University from June 2006 – June 2007. My past experiences gained as a tutor/teacher have given me the tools and knowledge necessary to teach English in Korea.

In Korea, I was able to gain invaluable experiences by working with all different types of people. I gave tutoring lessons to children, adults, and worked with businessmen at DaimlerChrysler Korea with interpretations and translations. I developed a familiarity with the methods of teaching English to students because of my tutoring experience. I am well aware and prepared that Korean schools and academies demand a lot from their teachers and students. I take great pleasure in teaching and would love to continue it as a profession when I return to Korea this summer.

I believe that I would be an excellent candidate as an English teacher. I would be a great asset to any school or academy. Please contact me at your earliest convenience so I may provide you with more information. I can be reached any time at (424) 634-1514 or daechoi@ucla.edu.

Sincerely,
Dae Choi
