I taught freshman English for 11 years in community and business colleges in North Carolina. These courses included expository writing, research writing, business writing, creative writing, introduction to literature, and public speaking. I tutored freshman English students for 15 years

Administrative duties included the position of lead instructor for business writing, accreditation committees, hiring committees, and curriculum planning committees.

I organized student writes' clubs and played bass guitar in the Cape Fear Community College Jazz Band.

Later, I received CELTA certification in Krakow, Poland.

Since then I have taught ESL on a volunteer basis and have devoted my time to managing my real estate holdings.
