         Designed and implemented a probe holder to adapt a commercial atomic force microscope for scanning thermal microscopy applications.

         Researched and suggested future research projects relating to atomic force and scanning thermal microscopy.

         Mastered nanofabrication techniques including thin film deposition, ion milling, and SEM lithography.

         Analysis under optical and near-field optical microscopy found correlation between pillar diameter and wavelength of emitted light.
